About Me and the Story Behind “Weekend Skipper”
On this page, I’d like to briefly share my story and how the idea for Weekend Skipper came about.

The concept of the yacht agency grew from my sailing experience, which began in 1989. At the age of 12, I started training at a university sports camp where my father taught. After mastering the basics and sailing juniors, lasers, and larger boats, my passion for the sea firmly took root.
In 2010, I began working in the Mediterranean as a skipper for cruising yachts in fleet races and expeditions. Over time, I gained extensive experience managing crews, organizing teams, and achieving goals — whether in regattas, crossings, or flotillas.
During the past 15 years, I’ve logged over 10,000 nautical miles and taken part in many renowned competitions, including the Marmaris International Race Week, Rolex Giraglia Cup, and Istanbul Cup, among others. I’ve also completed multiple 3,000-mile passages across the North Atlantic, Bay of Biscay, Gibraltar region, Mediterranean, and Swedish archipelago—some lasting up to 25 days.
After moving to Sweden in 2022 — a country with a strong maritime heritage — I saw an opportunity to grow further within the global yachting community. That’s when the idea of offering practical support services for yacht owners and charter companies was born.
Weekend Skipper assists anyone in need of help with a sailing or motor yacht — from helping a retiree with repairs, inspecting and accepting a new boat from a shipyard, or handling warranty issues, to organizing events ranging from casual flotillas to official regattas with full registration and judging.
